Shipping Info

Minimum order is $25 plus shipping. I ship worldwide.

I can ship by FedEx, Japan Post, or Kuroneko Yamato. Currently, for most countries, Japan Post Air is the best value for orders under 2kg. For orders over 2kg, FedEx is the most reasonable shipping option to Europe, North America, UK, and most other countries. To Australia and New Zealand, Kuroneko Yamato is the most reasonable shipping option for orders over 2kg. I can also ship by slow boat, but it takes 2-3 months to arrive.

There is a maximum parcel weight of 13-14kg. Parcels heavier than that are hard to pack and are prone to damage.

APPROXIMATION OF PARCEL WEIGHT AND COST

FedEx rates vary depending on the region and country. In general, the cost goes up $7-10 per kg. For example to the US, a 1kg parcel would be $27 and a 5kg parcel would be $48. Rates to the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands are about the same as rates to the US, and at some weights, even cheaper. For the rest of Europe, rates are roughly 10-15% higher than rates to the US. Before finalizing a purchase, feel free to add and remove items from your shopping cart to see how the cost of shipping changes.

Kuroneko Yamato is much cheaper than FedEx for Australia and New Zealand. Kuroneko Yamato is $49 up to 5kg, $91 up to 10kg, and $145 up to 15kg.

* Keep in mind that some titles such as gatefold or box set releases contain 2 or more discs.

PACKING METHOD

Lighter orders are double boxed and heavier orders are triple boxed. My packing method has been called 'bulletproof' by some of my customers. There are two main reasons for damage to parcels: They are dropped, or the contents are shaken. To prevent shaking, the orders are packed very tightly. The contents of box sets are often loose, so I add filler to make sure they don't shake around. Usually the double/triple layers of cardboard protection will prevent damage, even if dropped.

SLOW BOAT TRACKING

After a parcel leaves the KAWASAKIHIGASHI port in Japan, the tracking will not be updated until it gets scanned in a port in its destination country. For this reason, there will be a huge gap of a few weeks between scans. If you check Japan Post's tracking website and the last update was from KAWASAKIHIGASHI with the text "Dispatch from outward office of exchange", it means the parcel is on a boat, on its way, and all is normal.

Exchange Rate Fluctuations Affect Shipping Price

I pay delivery companies here in Japan in YEN. The prices of this shop are in USD. The exchange rate for 1 USD is usually 145-150 JPY. Shipping prices in the store reflect this exchange rate. If the exchange rate changes considerably, shipping costs will be changed.
